Care Standards
The home understands how important it is to gather the views of its residents regarding the services that it provides. We have developed a quality assurance questionnaire which we encourage every resident to complete. However, we recognise that not everyone will want to formalise their thoughts in this way and there will be others who, for a variety of reasons, may not be able to complete it. For those who need help in completing the forms we try to arrange for a family member or an independent person to assist.
In the event of a resident having a complaint, there is a formal procedure which ensures that it is dealt with effectively and which allows recourse to the Commission for Social Care Inspection if a resident is not satisfied with the outcome.
The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) has a duty to ensure that we adhere to current regulations. Currently, they do this by inspecting our Home on two occasions each year. At least one of these inspections is unannounced.
The reports following the inspections of Oriel Lodge are available to be viewed on CSCI web site.
If you cannot access the CSCI website and would like to take a look at a copy of
our latest inspection reports, please ask and we will make one available to you.
We are an approved member of ARCHA having satisfied the Quality Standards of Care set out in the ‘Association's Residents Charter’. ARCHA are a body that help to support, encourage and develop providers of Social Care.
