Our Services
Oriel Lodge is registered to provide 22 specialist dementia care places for the elderly.
Before each new resident is considered for a place at Oriel Lodge, an assessment of their needs is conducted by our Home Manager. This ensures that we are as certain as we can be that we have the necessary resources to meet your needs and can arrange for the involvement of other community healthcare professionals and services as required.
We understand that moving into a care home can be an anxious time for all involved and we find that maintaining links in this way helps to smooth the transition.
Fulfilment & Well-Being
To encourage fulfilment and a sense of well-being, we offer a person-centered range of activities. These include:-
- Music therapy.
- Pet therapy.
- Reminiscence sessions.
- Armchair aerobics.
- Arts and crafts.
- Ball games.
- Sing-a-longs.
- Skittles.
- Manicures.
- Visiting entertainers.
- Memory quizzes.
- Parties.
We also ensure that we support and encourage the hobbies and interests of the people we care for.
Friends and family are welcome to visit at any time, as we know how important it is for people to retain links with their family and community.
Respite Services & Day Care
When resources permit, respite (short-term) care, may also be offered to clients who, for some reason or another (for example their main carer or partner could be away), may not be able cope at home.
